Welcome to the Calico Mermaid

Calico Mermaid is downtown Porterville's quality fabric shop, opened in April 2011 by Georgia & Richard Goode. You'll find lots of inspiration & temptation here in books, patterns, classes, & fabric by Studio E, Blank Quilting, Wilmington, Island Batiks, Benartex, Robert Kaufman, Moda, Timeless Treasures, Free Spirit, Anthology, Northcott, &RJR.

We have quilting & sewing classes as well as special events scheduled monthly for lots of quilty fun. There's additional parking & a back entrance behind the shop. Just let us know if you need help unloading your machine for classes.
